Kaptan Sevket is a handsome 29-metre traditional gulet that carries the soul of the Adriatic in every timber frame. Built in 2003 and comprehensively refitted in 2023, she blends time-honoured gulet craftsmanship with contemporary comforts, emerging from her refit refreshed and ready to offer guests an experience that is at once authentically maritime and thoroughly modern. With a generous beam of 7 metres, she moves through the water with a reassuring, stable presence — ample space on deck and below for twelve guests to spread out, breathe, and truly inhabit the sea.
Her home port is Porto Montenegro in Tivat, one of the Adriatic's most prestigious marina addresses, and it is from here that Kaptan Sevket begins her signature seven-night voyages through the incomparable waters of Montenegro and the Bay of Kotor. She is, at heart, a vessel of discovery — built not for speed but for savouring: a slow arc around headlands, a quiet anchor in a hidden cove, an evening moored beneath ancient stone walls lit gold by the setting sun.
The 2023 refit touched every corner of the vessel, from the social spaces on deck to the private cabins below, ensuring that the aesthetic is clean, warm, and welcoming without sacrificing the character that only a well-travelled gulet can possess. Teak decks, shaded saloon spaces, and a generous swimming platform aft invite a rhythm of life dictated entirely by light and tide. The aft swimming platform places guests directly at water level, perfect for spontaneous dips in the crystalline Adriatic, while a deck shower allows for a refreshing rinse after every swim. Above, shaded deck areas provide the ideal setting for long, lazy lunches prepared by the onboard chef — three-course affairs that draw on the finest local produce and the culinary traditions of the Montenegrin coast. A full bar service, available by the onboard price list, ensures that sundowners are never far away.
For those drawn to active exploration, Kaptan Sevket carries an impressive array of water equipment. A 4.35-metre dinghy with a 60HP engine serves as the vessel's nimble tender, ferrying guests to shore or to secluded anchorages beyond the gulet's reach. Paddle boards and canoes invite a more meditative engagement with the sea, while a complete set of snorkelling equipment opens up the underwater world of the Bay of Kotor and the Adriatic beyond. Fishing rods are available for those who wish to try their luck — and water skiing and a Sea Bob can both be arranged as optional extras for those who prefer their thrills at speed.
In the evenings and during quieter hours, Kaptan Sevket offers a considered suite of entertainment: a TV and DVD player, a sound system with auxiliary input, and Wi-Fi connectivity (with download limits) keep guests comfortable and connected. Card games add a convivial, analogue touch to evenings at anchor. Every cabin is equipped with its own climate control, hair dryer, and private en-suite bathroom, with premium bed linens, bathroom towels, and beach towels all provided as standard. Each cabin is equipped with individual part-time air conditioning, ensuring a cool and restful night's sleep during the warmer months. Hair dryers, hot and cold running water, and a full set of premium bed linens, bathroom towels, and beach towels are provided as standard — nothing is left to chance.
