Zelda
A 40-metre laminated Iroko motor sailor reborn with reverence for her past and precision for her future, embodying mastery in every detail.
Her Story
Zelda stands today as the embodiment of mastery — a vessel reborn with reverence for her past and precision for her future. Launched in 2010 by SU Marine Turkey to designs by Taka Yachts, this exceptional 40.4-metre motor sailor represents a perfect marriage of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary precision. Her 8-metre beam provides generous spaces throughout, while her substantial 4.9-metre draft speaks to her serious sailing pedigree.
Built from laminated Iroko wood, Zelda carries the warmth and character that only this noble timber can provide. Her twin 480HP Scania engines deliver reliable performance, complemented by dual generators (27kW and 40kW) ensuring seamless onboard systems. Classified by RINA for commercial operation and flying the Malta flag, she meets the highest international standards while maintaining her soul as a traditional gulet.
Her recent refit was not merely a restoration, but a resurrection — each plank, fixture, and light fitting renewed by the same hands that first gave her form. The attention to detail is extraordinary: every beam polished by time, every line balanced in perfect poise. Within her hull of 152 gross tonnes, silence feels sacred, the air tinged with the scent of wood and sea.
To step aboard Zelda is to feel completion — the quiet confidence of something that has reached its purest form. She carries her years like a melody, a testament to the enduring beauty of traditional Turkish gulet construction enhanced by modern precision and care.
The Onboard Experience
Days Without Agenda
Where every moment flows with the rhythm of the sea.
From the first step onto her deck, the world expands around you. Every line and polished curve of Zelda's expansive outdoor spaces is designed to awaken the senses — the touch of sun-warmed teak beneath your feet, the whisper of wind through her rigging, the horizon stretching into infinite light. Her generous aft and midship lounges invite unhurried living, where mornings melt into afternoons and sunlight becomes the day's natural rhythm.
As evening approaches, the deck transforms into a place of gathering. Under stretched canvas and candlelight, dinners unfold slowly to the gentle sound of glasses and conversation. The midship lounge area features an open-air cinema setup, where films reflect on the water under a canopy of stars. Here, comfort becomes ritual — the same teak that held the sun's warmth now cradles the night's embrace.
Below deck, the main salon serves as an embrace of proportion and grace, featuring curved seating, subtle lighting, and panoramic windows that invite the outside world in. As morning breaks, golden light floods through the salon, tracing soft patterns across the traditional deckhead beams. By evening, carefully positioned lamps glow with the warmth of candlelight — a modern reflection of timeless maritime comfort where design whispers rather than shouts.
Guest Accommodation
Suites Above the Sea
Where the gentle rhythm of the hull carries you to peaceful slumber.
Zelda's five carefully appointed cabins represent a masterclass in understated luxury, where comfort lies not in excess but in essence. The accommodation comprises one master suite and two VIP cabins, complemented by two additional guest cabins, each designed as a private retreat for rest, reflection, and renewal. Every cabin benefits from the gentle hum of the hull, the softness of premium cotton linens, and the warm glow of hidden lighting systems.
Each suite showcases the vessel's commitment to craftsmanship, with satin-finished Iroko joinery, carefully selected fabrics in natural tones, and en-suite facilities that maintain the yacht's philosophy of refined simplicity. The master and VIP accommodations offer generous proportions and panoramic portlights, while the guest cabins provide intimate sanctuaries where the rhythm of the sea becomes a lullaby.
Throughout the accommodation areas, design speaks in whispers — a language of restraint and refinement written in lived-in textures and natural materials. Here, luxury is measured not in ostentation but in the perfect harmony of space, light, and the timeless comfort that only a vessel of Zelda's pedigree can provide.
Cruising Regions
The Waters She Calls Home
From Türkiye to Greece — every voyage, a new chapter.
Zelda charts a course through Türkiye and Greece, offering an extraordinary range of coastlines, cultures, and hidden anchorages. Each region brings its own character — from secluded coves to storied harbours — woven together by the timeless rhythm of the sea.
Where East Meets West on Water
Along Turkey's legendary coastline, Zelda reveals her true character as she navigates the pristine waters between ancient Lycian ruins and modern resort towns. From the sophisticated marina of Bodrum to the secluded bays of Göcek, her traditional lines and Iroko construction pay homage to the very waters where gulet culture was born. The Turkish Riviera offers the perfect backdrop for her unhurried elegance, where morning anchorages in turquoise coves give way to afternoon explorations of Byzantine harbours.
Her shallow 4.9-metre draft allows intimate access to hidden beaches and forgotten fishing villages along the Datça Peninsula and around Marmaris Bay. As evening falls over the pine-clad hills of Fethiye or the dramatic coastline near Kaş, Zelda's deck becomes an observatory for some of the Mediterranean's most spectacular sunsets, while her spacious lounges provide the perfect setting for traditional Turkish hospitality beneath a canopy of stars.
