Designed and built in 2003 by the renowned Turkish yard Ege Yat, Myra is a classic sailing schooner that has earned her place among the most distinguished motor sailers available for charter in Greece. Measuring 98 feet (approximately 29.9 metres) in overall length with a beam of 25 feet and a draft of 9 feet, she was comprehensively refitted in 2021 and 2022 to marry her heritage craftsmanship with thoroughly contemporary comforts. Flying an Italian flag and operated by a professional Italian-led crew of six, she brings a distinctly Mediterranean soul to every voyage.
Her construction tells the story of a vessel built to last and built to impress. The steel hull — robust and seaworthy — is finished with gloss-varnished bulwarks that catch the Mediterranean light with quiet confidence. Wide teak decks and classically drawn lines lend Myra a presence in any anchorage that turns heads, while her high rails and generous freeboard ensure effortless movement around the deck whether she is at rest or under full sail. At cruising speed her twin Aifo Iveco 350 HP engines — revised in 2010 — drive her at a comfortable 8 knots, rising to a maximum of 12 knots when required, with fuel consumption of approximately 80 litres per hour at cruising pace. Power is supplied by two Northern Lights generators of 12 kW and 20 kW respectively, ensuring full air-conditioning throughout the night and uninterrupted onboard comfort.
The interior philosophy is one of warm, understated luxury. Fine wood panelling wraps the saloon and cabins alike, complemented by teak-and-holly sole floors that are as beautiful underfoot as they are practical at sea. The raised deckhouse salon is a particular achievement: generously proportioned, flooded with natural light through large panoramic windows, and divided elegantly between two dining tables on the port side — capable of seating all twelve guests simultaneously — and a convivial lounge on the starboard side arranged around a coffee table. A 46-inch flat-screen home theatre television and a quality audio system with iPod and MP3 connectivity complete the indoor entertainment offering.
Connectivity at sea is delivered via Starlink satellite internet, supplemented by a printer and laptop for those who need to remain in contact with the world ashore. Practical crew amenities include a washing machine and dryer for light laundry, iron, hairdryers for every cabin, and a dedicated ice maker. Every cabin is supplied with Ferragamo shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, four pillows per bed, and plush bathrobes — details that speak of an operator with genuine attention to the guest experience.
L’Expérience à Bord
Life at the Pace of the Wind
Where sun-drenched decks, convivial dining, and the freedom of the open sea converge in effortless harmony.
Life aboard Myra unfolds across generously proportioned decks designed for relaxed luxury at sea. The aft deck is the social heart of the yacht: a permanent bimini canopy shades a spacious al fresco dining table where all twelve guests can gather for breakfast as the morning light reflects off the water, or linger over long lunches in the sheltered warmth of a Greek afternoon. Comfortable upholstered seating and aft-facing sunbeds complete the space, creating an effortless flow between dining, conversation, and repose. Forward, the open foredeck offers a sun-worshipper's paradise — wide teak planks, additional sunbeds, and the intoxicating feeling of the bow slicing through a sparkling Aegean sea. The deck shower keeps guests refreshed between swims, while a boarding ladder and dedicated swim platform make entry to and exit from the water seamless and safe.
The water sports inventory ensures that every anchorage becomes an invitation to adventure. Guests have at their disposal two stand-up paddleboards, two adult water skis, a wakeboard, two sea wings, an inflatable two-person kayak, a sea scooter, fishing equipment, and snorkelling gear for eight. A five-metre by three-metre inflatable floating platform transforms any sheltered bay into an open-air lounge on the water — ideal for sundowners, swimming parties, or simply floating in perfect calm. The dedicated Zodiac open tender — 5.5 metres with a 40 HP outboard — ferries guests ashore with ease and serves as the base for towed water sports. For certified divers, Myra offers rendezvous diving arrangements, connecting guests with local dive operators throughout the Greek islands. Board games, books, and the home theatre system in the saloon ensure that evenings at anchor are as engaging as the days.
Culinary life aboard Myra is presided over by Chef Rita Manetta, a highly accomplished professional whose mastery spans Italian and international cuisine, pastry, and wellness-focused cooking tailored to life at sea. Her menus are seasonal, ingredient-led, and visually striking — ranging from citrus-marinated raw seafood and steamed prawn skewers to handmade ricotta and spinach ravioli in burnt butter and sage, salt-baked local catch, and classic tiramisù. The result is an onboard gastronomic journey that rivals the finest coastal restaurants ashore, delivered with the intimacy and personalisation that only private charter allows.
Hébergement des Invités
Six Sanctuaries Above the Sea
Thoughtfully appointed cabins where classic wood craftsmanship meets the quiet comfort of nights spent gently at anchor.
Myra accommodates twelve guests across six beautifully appointed cabins, each with its own private en-suite bathroom complete with electric head, shower, and wash basin — ensuring that privacy and personal comfort are never compromised regardless of the size of the party. The cabins are arranged across three distinct zones of the vessel, each with its own character and atmosphere. The two forward cabins offer double beds measuring 150 centimetres at the head tapering to 120 centimetres at the foot, each 200 centimetres in length — a configuration that follows the graceful lines of the bow and creates an intimate, cocooning feel, with warm wood panelling and natural ventilation complemented by full air-conditioning throughout the night.
Amidships, two central VIP cabins occupy the most privileged position aboard — wider, quieter, and situated at the vessel's most stable point. Each is furnished with a generous 150 by 200 centimetre double bed, making them the natural choice for the principal guests or a couple travelling in search of the finest accommodation afloat. The aft cabins, located closest to the transom, are configured as twin cabins, each offering two single beds measuring 85 by 200 centimetres — ideal for friends travelling together, young guests, or those who prefer individual sleeping arrangements. All six cabins are finished in the same warm, hand-crafted style that defines Myra's interior: fine wood panelling, teak-and-holly floors, and carefully chosen furnishings that reflect both the vessel's classic heritage and the expectations of a modern luxury charter. Bathrobes, four pillows per bed, and premium Ferragamo bath amenities are provided as standard throughout.

La mythologie, rendue tangible
Based in Athens, Myra is ideally positioned to explore the extraordinary diversity of the Greek islands in a style that few vessels can match. Departing from her home port, a typical itinerary might trace the storied waters of the Saronic Gulf — pausing at Hydra's traffic-free waterfront, the pine-shaded anchorages of Spetses, or the ancient theatre at Epidaurus — before opening up to the boundless horizons of the Cyclades. Santorini's caldera, viewed from the foredeck at sunset with a glass of Assyrtiko in hand, represents one of the great spectacles of Mediterranean sailing; guests should be aware that embarkation or disembarkation in Santorini carries a one-additional-day supplement, a small price for access to one of the world's most iconic destinations.
Further east, the Dodecanese offer a wilder, less-charted course: the medieval streets of Rhodes' old town, the volcanic moonscapes of Nisyros, the unspoiled anchorages of Symi where colourful neoclassical facades cascade down to the harbour. Under full sail, with the Meltemi filling her canvas and her steel hull cutting cleanly through deep blue water, Myra is in her true element — a vessel built for exactly these seas, these winds, and these islands. Her professional crew of six, led by Captain Sinan Oner with over fifteen years of Greek waters experience, ensures that every passage is handled with expertise and every anchorage chosen with an insider's knowledge of the most beautiful and secluded spots the Aegean has to offer.
Whether the desire is for lively port towns and vibrant taverna culture, remote sea caves accessible only by tender, or simply the meditative rhythm of a long afternoon sail between islands, Myra adapts her itinerary to the wishes of her guests. Her Starlink internet connection means the world is never truly out of reach; yet her classic lines and timeless pace make it effortless to forget it entirely.
