Son Histoire

SAMARA is a modern and sophisticated Pachoud 24-metre catamaran launched in 2016, engineered to deliver a smooth and refined cruise through the extraordinary waters of Greece. Built with a twin-hull design and powered by twin MAN R6 800hp engines delivering 12 knots cruising speed, she combines performance with comfort. Her 9.05-metre beam provides exceptional stability and spacious interior volumes, while a draft of just 1.40 metres allows access to shallow anchorages and protected coves throughout the Cyclades and Ionian regions.

The vessel's interior design philosophy emphasises warmth and elegance, with teak accents and creamy brown tones creating an atmosphere of homey sophistication. Her cabins are distributed thoughtfully across both hulls, each with private en-suite bathrooms and climate control, providing the privacy and comfort expected of a luxury charter catamaran. The open-plan salon flows seamlessly onto expansive aft and foredeck areas, creating multiple social zones for dining, relaxation, and gathering.

SAMARA's deck layout maximises the catamaran's inherent advantages: a spacious aft alfresco dining area overlooks the wake, ideal for sunset meals prepared by the professional galley; a panoramic flybridge offers sweeping vistas and intimate space for cocktails and conversation; and a generous bow bronzing area with integrated jacuzzi invites sunbathing in uninterrupted luxury. The hydraulic swim platform and boarding ladder facilitate water access, while the swimming platform keeps guests connected to the sea.

Led by Captain Chino Chonowitz and Chef Triantafyllos Pnevmatikos, her four-person professional crew combines seamless service with authentic Greek hospitality. Whether navigating the white-washed islands of the Cyclades, exploring the unspoiled Ionian passages, or cruising toward legendary Santorini and Mykonos, SAMARA delivers a charter experience defined by sophisticated comfort, exceptional cuisine, and access to the Mediterranean's most enchanting waters.

L’Expérience à Bord

Days of Pure Indulgence

Where every moment flows with effortless grace and the sea becomes your playground.

SAMARA's onboard experience combines refined leisure with active adventure. Her dual social hubs—the elegant aft alfresco dining area and the panoramic flybridge with extensive seating—create perfect venues for morning coffee, sunset aperitifs, and candlelit dinners under starlit skies. The generous bow bronzing area features a luxurious integrated jacuzzi, the ideal sanctuary for stargazing or simply soaking while the island breeze carries the scent of the Aegean. Full air-conditioning throughout ensures respite during warm Mediterranean days, while the on-board WiFi and modern entertainment systems keep guests connected without intruding on the serenity of their escape.

The water sports arsenal is comprehensively curated for exploration and exhilaration: a 25-foot Gamefish Sea Hunt tender with 300HP engine (newly added in 2019) serves as the primary water shuttle and enables extended day excursions; a Thundercat 50HP inflatable provides nimble secondary transport; twin Wave Runners (new 2019) and twin E-foils deliver thrilling personal water pursuits; twin kayaks and two stand-up paddle boards invite gentle exploration of shallow bays and hidden coves. For underwater discovery, a complete snorkelling gear suite accommodates all skill levels, whilst six scuba diving certifications, ten scuba tanks, and a dive compressor (available to certified divers by advance request) unlock the spectacular reefs and submerged antiquities. Water skis, a wakeboard, and the inflatable Big Mable towable cater to family fun, whilst the floating island with critter-free net bottom provides a novel platform for mid-water picnics. Additional amenities include a sea scooter, comprehensive beach games and toys, and professional fishing equipment for those seeking to land their dinner. An ice maker, water maker, and full deck shower complete the practical luxury, whilst the beam-mounted hydraulic boarding ladder and stern swimming platform ensure safe, graceful water access at every stop.

Suites Above the Aegean

An intimate sanctuary where teak elegance and private bathrooms frame every night at sea.

SAMARA accommodates eight guests across four thoughtfully appointed cabins distributed between both hulls, each paired with a private en-suite bathroom and shower. Her cabin configuration comprises one spacious Master Suite with a King bed, two VIP cabins each with Queen beds, and one Double cabin, offering flexibility for couples, small families, or friends travelling together. All sleeping quarters feature premium teak joinery, creamy brown soft furnishings, and carefully controlled climate systems that maintain perfect comfort through warm Mediterranean nights.

The master and VIP suites offer generous proportions befitting their names—intimate spaces where guests can retreat for rest and rejuvenation after days of exploration and social engagement. The double cabin provides excellent value without compromising on the refined finish and private bathroom access that define the SAMARA experience. Distributed across the twin hulls, the cabin arrangement maximises privacy while the catamaran's shallow draft and beam stability ensure undisturbed slumber even in protected anchorages where traditional monohulls might sway.

Grèce

La mythologie, rendue tangible

SAMARA's home waters are the mythical islands and legendary passages of Greece—a destination that has inspired travellers for millennia. Based in Athens and departing from ports including Mykonos, Paros, Rhodes, Santorini, and Zakynthos, she offers unparalleled access to the Cyclades, Dodecanese, and Ionian regions. Imagine dawn departures from Athens under full sail, arriving in Mykonos to anchor before the beach clubs awaken; pristine swimming stops at the turquoise lagoons between islands; sunset aperitifs on the flybridge as whitewashed villages cascade down volcanic hillsides; and intimate dinners on the aft deck, the scent of Mediterranean herbs mingling with fresh seafood prepared by your personal chef.

The Cyclades—Paros, Naxos, Antiparos, Delos—offer a seamless blend of island-hopping charm, world-class snorkelling, and the energy of cosmopolitan ports. The Ionian waters around Zakynthos and Kefalonia reveal quieter, greener landscapes and hidden anchorages where SAMARA's shallow draft becomes a distinct advantage. Water activities abound: explore submerged Minoan ruins with the dive compressor and certified guides, paddle through sea caves in kayaks, race across turquoise shallows on the Wave Runners, or simply snorkel from the swim platform in crystalline waters teeming with Mediterranean marine life. Every meal is an homage to Greek hospitality—fresh local fish, sun-ripened vegetables, feta, and wines from island vineyards—served alfresco as the light shifts from golden to indigo.

Whether you charter during high summer when the Meltemia winds fill the sails and the islands buzz with cosmopolitan energy, or choose the gentler shoulder seasons when fewer yachts anchor and the light is often even more magical, SAMARA and her expert crew deliver a Greek island experience that transcends the postcard—a voyage through landscapes that shaped Western civilisation, where every anchorage offers both adventure and sublime repose.
